Christine A. Slivon has over 25 years of experience dealing with work processes and the information technology which supports them. For Amoco International Oil Company in Houston, she helped to start up a data center, developing processes for operations, problem resolution, and customer support. As an internal consultant, she conducted a business systems planning study of Amoco Oil Company operations. She also performed the analysis for a technology upgrade to support Amoco Pipeline Operations.

Since founding Conversations That Work in 1995, she has completed a series of projects in the electric utility industry to bring about the implementation of deregulated operations. She has an in-depth understanding of the management issues surrounding the implementation of new technology and a proven ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical people.

She has given presentations on project management and teamwork for the Society of Women Engineers, the Association for Computing Machinery, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and the Society for Information Management. She holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Illinois and a master's degree in computer science from Cornell University.
